| SSE take Lake's LM Series on the road with Arctic Monkeys |
| December 2011 |
 |
Leading UK company SSE Audio have put their faith in Lake's new LM Series digital audio system processors – LM 26 and LM 44 – on recent tours by Arctic Monkeys and Example.
Both tours, which involved sell out dates across the country in front of thousands, allowed SSE engineers to work with the company's recent purchases of the new LM 44, integrating the units into their existing inventories.
Simon Gladstone, Technical Manager at SSE, said: "We used both the LM 26s and the LM 44s on The Arctic Monkeys tour. In the past, we would normally have used our old Dolby DLPs for such big gigs, but having the LM 44 allowed us to leave these out, which is testament to the capabilities of the new units."
The LM 44 provides four analog inputs and four analog outputs, in contrast to the LM 26's 2-in/6-out. In addition, the LM 44 accommodates 8-in/8-out AES3 and 4-in/8-out Dante digital audio transport with full dual redundancy, while the devices are 'stackable' for larger multiples of analogue i/o. The LM 44 benefits from the latest implementation of Lake's iconic 'Mesa EQ' configuration, utilising 4 Mesa modules, each with an independent input mixer and output signal processing chain.

| New Michael 'Padge' Paget TonePrints for Vortex Flanger and Flashback Delay |
| November 2011 |
 |
 |
| |
We are proud to present Michael 'Padge' Paget's personal 'Sunny Day' and 'Tears' TonePrints for Vortex Flanger and Flashback Delay.
At first Michael set out to make an extreme tone for our Vortex Flanger pedal, but once the creative process started, inspiration pointed him in a different direction. Rather than going to extremes, he ended up creating a subtle and slow-ocean-breeze-on-a-sunny-day kind of tone. As always we let TonePrint artists name their own TonePrints, and I this case, Michael found it natural to simply call it 'Sunny Day'. For Flashback Delay, Michael decided to go for a nice analog delay with a bit of chorus on the repeated notes - a beautiful and evocative tone he decided to name 'Tears'.

| Get the Revolutionary TonePrint App for iPhone Today! |
| November 2011 |
 |
 |
| |
We launched the groundbreaking TonePrint® concept earlier this year. Now, a truly mind-blowing technology adds fuel to the fire of creativity and flexibility!
The new iPhone app compiles all TonePrints for our TonePrint enabled guitar pedals in one place and allows you to 'beam' new TonePrints to your pedals in a matter of seconds. The idea behind the technology is as simple as it is ingenious: Each TonePrint has been converted to a unique-sounding magnetic impulse that you can beam via an iPhone's internal speaker, through the pickup of your guitar and directly to your TonePrint pedal! The sound does not carry any data so it doesn't matter if you are in a raucous arena or a library - no other sounds will interfere with the data being sent from your iPhone.
The app contains all TonePrints as mp3 files, which means that you don't need an Internet connection to beam TonePrints. Simply place the iPhone's speaker close to a magnetic guitar pickup when beaming, and it literally only takes seconds for the app to perform its magic. Best of all, the TonePrint app is completely free of charge.

Tannoy VQ loudspeakers reinvigorate worship at Toronto, Canada's Kingston Road United Church...
With close to three million members in 3,500 congregations nationwide, The United Church of Canada is the largest Protestant denomination in the nation. Typically, it is also considered one of the most socially progressive. Having said that, while the church tends to be progressive in terms of doctrine, says Paul Harris - a member of the Kingston Road United Church (KRUC) congregation for some twenty years - it is not always as quick to embrace audio and production technology as some large evangelical churches are.
"Some of the reason for that is economies of scale," Harris explains. "Most United Churches tend to be neighbourhood, 'walk to' churches that have, like us, a relatively small congregation." Correspondingly, funding such ventures is often out of the reach of the average small Canadian church.

But although the church - now located in Baltimore MD's historic Highlandtown neighbourhood - has altered its name and changed locations over time, their mandate of ministering to youth, particularly through music, remains at the very heart of their ministry.

Tannoy provides custom solution for Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas...
A long overdue renovation of the lobby and atrium at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas, began shortly after it was announced that the Hilton Anatole would be the NFL headquarters hotel for the XLV Super Bowl.
R2W's Dallas office was tapped to handle the design and installation of a new sound system for the atrium as well as other system required by the renovation.
The renovation consisted of gutting the existing lobby of the 1,606 room hotel and creating a new 11 story high atrium that features a prominent water element and new Media Grill + Bar. The 11,000 square foot space required an unobtrusive, distributed sound system for music playback in the area.

| October 2011 |
 |
 |
New OCV Series of pendant-style loudspeakers shipping now!
In what promises to be another significant product development for the commercial loudspeaker market, Tannoy has released a brand new range of 'open ceiling' hanging-pendant loudspeakers.
OCV Series, Tannoy's new pendant loudspeaker promises to deliver the renowned acoustic performance and exceptional value of the ubiquitous CVS Series in-ceiling products but in an architecturally sensitive, self-contained, lightweight cylindrical enclosure.
Engineered specifically for applications where predictable high quality audio coverage is required in high or open-ceilinged spaces - such as airports, railway stations, malls or large double or triple height commercial floors - without compromising clarity, intelligibility and SPL. The unique cylindrical form-factor has been conceived to meet the exacting demands of the architectural sector, minimising the impact on aesthetics and allowing the systems designer to locate the loudspeakers discretely, at a desired height without regard to the physical ceiling height, and in a manner that won’t conflict with other suspended systems such as lighting fixtures and ventilation.

TANNOY AND LAB.GRUPPEN OUTFIT MENLO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH..
"It is always disappointing when church technical teams have their expectations for a new system threatened by budgetary limitations," explains Michael Garrison, founder and owner of Michael Garrison Associates, a system design/consultation firm that has worked with churches all over the United States. "This was the exact situation we walked into at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church."
Located in Menlo Park, California, the Menlo Park Presbyterian Church originally commissioned plans for a comprehensive building renovation in 2007. The renovation included all new theater seats, a major stage redesign as well as state of the art technical systems, including a concert-level line array and an electronic "variable" acoustic system to support the diverse types of services and music performed in the room.

Tannoy QFlex provides clarity and coverage in Slidell, Louisiana city council chambers.
Slidell was originally founded on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in 1882 and 1883 and has weathered its share of storms over time, but nothing like the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and a storm surge in excess of 3-metres in the municipal area itself.
For the community, the completion of the $5.4 million Slidell City Council and Administrative Center is both a sign of recovery and of good things to come. For the employees who moved into their offices there in mid 2010 - many who had been working out of trailers in a complex off Bayou Lane since hurricane Katrina - the opening of the facility in Slidell's Olde Towne area represents a welcome change. But the 32,970-square-foot space was designed with far more than just employee comfort in mind...

| Troy Sanders of Mastodon Picks Blacksmith for Stage and Studio |
| October 2011 |
 |
 |
We are proud that our Bass Amp 2.0 Concept now joins metal sensation Mastodon on stages all over the world, as well as in the studio!
In recent years, Mastodon has taken the metal scene by storm with critically acclaimed albums and tons of sold out concerts. Fronting the band you'll find bass player and vocalist Troy Sanders, who has now decided to have our Blacksmith bass amp and RS410 bass cabinets deliver the raw power and low-end punch he needs on stage. According to Troy four words sum up the character and nature of the Blacksmith bass amp:
"Power, warmth, clarity and drive. I'm rocking the Blacksmith every night - it's killer!"
After taking Blacksmith for a test drive, Troy was so hooked on the amp that he decided to bring it along to the studio as the band set out to record its new album "The Hunter" which was released only a few days ago. In fact, it ended up being used on almost the entire record.

| Tannoy outdoor speakers weather Tropical Storm Irene... |
| September 2011 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
Tannoy outdoor surface mount Di 8DCs survive direct hit from Tropical Storm Irene.
When composer Joseph Bertolozzi and sound engineer Ron Kuhnke chose Tannoy Di 8DCs for an outdoor, site-specific art installation on the Franklin D. Roosevelt Mid-Hudson Bridge, they knew the speakers were going to take some punishment from the elements. In fact, for Bertolozzi, the durability of the Di 8DCs was as important as the sound quality offered by Tannoy's Dual Concentric design.
Still, while he knew the speakers would have to function in some fairly nasty weather, he never expected they'd have to stand up to a storm like Irene. "It rains, it gets cold, but we actually take the speakers down from October 31st to April 1st," he says, "because conditions on the bridge in winter are like being in the North Atlantic."

Latest software upgrade heralds an industry first with exclusive support for Greybox processing from within PLM™ Series.
Lab.gruppen and Lake are delighted to announce the release of the latest version of Lake Controller software (v5.7) with accompanying firmware for both the PLM Powered Loudspeaker Management™ products and the LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker Processor.
Working alongside both industry partners and leading end-users, engineers at Lab.gruppen and Lake have taken a significant leap forward with this latest release of Lake Controller; designed to offer ever greater flexibility and compatibility for end users, further optimizing system audio performance.
New levels of functionality are provided as PLM Series products now support a new processing module type. The filters can also be used to create classic crossovers and specific driver EQ. The new module, among other benefits, is capable of supporting EAW Focusing through the direct recall of EAW Greybox files into any PLM Series device via the Lake Controller software.

These unique TonePrints are created by some of the best guitarists around - e.g. John Petrucci, Steve Morse, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Orianthi and Joe Perry, just to name a few! Tannoy and Lab.gruppen provide clarity and power at Orlando, Florida's historic St. James Cathedral
For immediate release:
Tannoy and Lab.gruppen provide clarity and power at Orlando, Florida's historic St. James Cathedral
Saying that downtown Orlando's St. James Cathedral is impressive is putting it mildly. Historically and aesthetically, the cathedral, the seat of the Orlando, Florida, Diocese of the Catholic Church, is truly distinct.
For all intents and purposes, explains Antonio Aguerrevere, senior director of design and construction services for the diocese of Orlando, the building is an entirely new build; a comprehensive $10 million renovation freshly completed in late 2010. "We put in a basement and replaced every single system; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning. We redid every single finish - the doors, the furniture, the landscaping. Everything was refurbished. We had new stained glass windows done. We even replaced the roof."

Lab.gruppen install ups the ante...
For immediate release:
Whether it's because of the city, the crowd, or the venue, anyone who's spent much time on tour looks forward to certain stops along the way. For artists and technicians alike, good memories start with great sound. That's why Tommy Gawenda, owner of JT AV Corp., chose a suite of Lab.gruppen amps for his annual update to the audio system at Chicago's heritage venue, The Vic Theatre.
With over two decades in the business and a solid background in touring, Gawenda knows the impact a solid system can have on a venue's reputation and an incoming band's satisfaction level. "You want every piece of equipment in the system to be as strong as it can be. That's not always possible economically, but if it is, you start updating."

| New Lake LM 26 offers unique flexibility... |
| February 2011 |
 |
New Lake LM 26 offers unique flexibility at Canyon Hills Community Church
For immediate release:
It goes without saying that modern churches can sometimes become a victim of their own success. Canyon Hills Community Church, located in Bothell, WA, has been progressively upgrading its sound system during the past several years, but its AV crew now needed to address a number of new issues. The solution was a trio of Lake LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker Processors. "Because we were seating more people during our Sunday services," recalls Jon Huff, the church’s technical arts director, "we added 180-degree seating around the stage areas, which now required additional side-fill and delay speakers to provide improved sound coverage deeper into the room. The Lake LM 26 processors offer a lot of control via systems presets that can be recalled by our non-technical staff. They are a great solution."
